CREW WANTED – the faint hearted need not apply.
As dedicated member of The Highland Park Inner Circle we would like to offer you the chance to take your place on The Dark Expedition, a testing voyage of discovery by sailboat from the west coast of Sweden to the Orkney Islands and the birthplace of Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Dark Expedition will celebrate the strength of the connection between Orkney and the Nordics and pay tribute to man credited with founding ‘The Best Sprit in the World’ - Magnus Eunson.
The expedition across the unforgiving North Sea, which takes four days, sets sail on the 18th August 2014 with the return crossing planned for 23rd August 2014. We are offering two fearless Highland Park fans the chance to join the crew and experience firsthand the challenges of the open sea and the rich rewards of reaching the Highland Park Distillery.
For your chance to join the fearless crew on The Dark Expedition all you have to do is send up a short explanation detailing why we should welcome you onboard and what the trip would mean to you. All entries (max 120 words) should be sent toinfo@darkexpedition.se
The details:
Two positions on the Celeste Farr 65 sailboat are available - one on the outward journey to Orkney, and one on the return journey back to the Nordics. The expedition will start on the 18th of August in Gothenburg and we plan to arrive on Orkney on the 22nd of August. The passage back will begin on the morning of the 23rd of August, taking us via Kristiansand (NO) and Skagen (DK), before arriving at the final destination of Gothenburg on the 27th of August.

The opportunity to apply for the two crew positions will remain open until the 5th of August 2014. As a participant you need to be at least 20 years old and reside in Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland.
